Recipe Main Cat | Grilled Strawberry Shortcake with Fig Balsamic


Servings - 4

1 lb - fresh strawberries
4 oz - heavy whipping cream
2 tsp - Pastamore Fig Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tbsp - sugar
4 - miniature angel food cake bowls


1.  Heat grill to high heat.

2. While the grill is heating, prepare the strawberries.Rinse the strawberries in cool water, and then cut
off the top of strawberries.  Cut the strawberries in half. To do this, place the flat side down (the top) and slice in half.

3.  Once the grill is hot, place the strawberries flat side down on the grill.  Cook the strawberries until they
have achieved grill marks.

4.  Place the heavy whipping cream, sugar, and Pastamore Fig Balsamic Vinegar into an upright mixer with a whisk attachment.  This can also be done by hand with a whisk, but it will take much more time and much more work.  Whisk until the whipped cream has stiff peaks.

5.  Plate the angel food cake.  Top with the fig balsamic whipped cream, and then add the grilled strawberries. Finish off the plate by adding a drizzle of Pastamore Fig Balsamic Vinegar.
