Recipe Main Cat | Caprese Salad


Fresh Mozzarella - 1 Roll or 1 container
5-6 Roma Tomatoes
2-3 oz. Pastamore Traditional Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar
1 Sprig - Fresh basil
TT - Sea salt or kosher salt


1. Slice the tomatoes and the mozzarella cheese into ¼" to ?" wide coins. Cut an equal number of slices of the tomato and cheese.

2. In a small saucepan, over medium-high heat, heat the Pastamore Traditional Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar. Reduce until the balsamic has been reduced to half of its original volume.

3. Lay the tomatoes and the fresh mozzarella on a serving platter, alternating tomato then mozzarella. Remove the basil leaves from the stem, and stack them together with the largest leaf underneath (some may not be cut and instead can be reserved for garnish). Roll the basil into a tube and chiffonade (very fine slice). Sprinkle the basil over the tomatoes and mozzarella.

4. Using a spoon or a squeeze bottle, drizzle the reduced Pastamore Traditional Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar over the plate. Lightly sprinkle with salt.
